Where to Stay in Mu Cang Chai

Mu-cang-chai Farming Rice Paddies at Mu Cang Chai

Considered as an off-the-beaten-path destination, Mu Cang Chai, is famous for the terraced rice fields and fabulous views of the Vietnamese ethnic countryside.

The best time to visit Mu Cang Chai is September - October.

In this mountainous region of Vietnam, you can find homestays and guesthouses with limited facilities.

Mu Cang Chai Homestays - most homestays/guesthouses are called "Nha Nghi" in Vietnamese

Currently, they don't have an online booking option yet. The host is super hospitable.

We ordered the Mu Cang Chai rice wine with grilled chicken for dinner. The stir-fried morning glory vegetable is also a great pairing with hot white rice on a cold night. Highly recommend the grilled chicken paired with the Mu Cang Chai rice wine!
