The Amazing Landscapes in Vietnam

the-amazing-landscapes-in-vietnam

One of the special things that attract tourists to Vietnam is its diversity in terrain creating incredible scenery. Below are some amazing landscapes in Vietnam you should visit when having chances to know what we have been blessed with by nature.

Mekong Delta

Mother Nature has blessed Mekong Delta with unfailing sources of water and fertile land, which helps create great biodiversity for this land. Tra Su Cajuput Forest and Tram Chim National Park are two significant destinations where you can see miles of lush, huge trees, listen to the birds “talking” to each other, and observe the typical animals, even the endangered ones. August - November is usually a good time to visit the Mekong Delta. Although it is the flooding season and some heavy rains could occur, it is also the period when the land shows the best of its beauty since some species only appear around this time of the year and, therefore, some scenes can just be witnessed then.

Son Doong Cave

Location: Quang Binh Province

The World’s Largest Cave, Son Doong is a part of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, one of the UNESCO Heritages in Vietnam. Belonging to the list of Beautiful Caves in Vietnam, the magnificence of it has never let anyone down. The length of this cave is at least 5 kilometers, and it is said to be bigger since even the most advanced machines nowadays cannot measure the exact depth. The system of stalactites and stalagmites here is incredible and splendid, while the vegetation is surprisingly diversified. A primitive forest has developed inside the cave for millions of years and created heaven on Earth.

Halong Bay

Location: Quang Ninh Province

The special feature that helps Halong Bay enter the list of amazing landscapes in Vietnam is its system of unique islands and glorious caves. The islands here are mostly composed of limestone or schist and have gone through nearly 300-million-year “design” of Mother Nature.

Ham Ho Landscape

Location: Tay Phu Commune, Tay Son District, Quy Nhon Province

Besides having the top Vietnam beaches, Quy Nhon Province also has many other unexploited landscapes that are still able to keep their pure beauty. And, Ham Ho Landscape is one of the places that can capture visitors’ hearts right at the moment they arrive here. To reach the heart of Ham Ho, you would have to go through a narrow canal on a boat that can only be rowed by skillful and experienced boatmen. On the banks are dense, luxuriant bushes and trees. The only sounds heard are leaves rustling, birds singing, and paddles touching the water. Altogether, they build up a mysterious scene that makes them feel like getting lost in a thrilling, fiction movie. The marvel of Ham Ho is no less than any other amazing landscapes in Vietnam, but it has not been known by the majority of travelers, both domestic and international.

Trang An Landscape Complex

Location: Ninh Binh Province

Trang An Landscape Complex includes Hoa Lu Ancient Citadel, Hoa Lu Special-Use Forest, and Trang An - Tam Coc - Bich Dong Scenic Landscape. Up to now, it is the only mixed UNESCO World Heritage in Vietnam. With attractions that have high values for Vietnamese history and culture, as well as breathtaking scenery, the Complex has gained more and more tourists every year. When coming here, you can enjoy sitting on an idyllic boat, sailing across beautiful rivers to go across golden, fertile rice fields, mighty mountains and vigorous rows of trees.

Terraced fields in the Northwest

Many beautiful rice fields in Vietnam are located in the Northwest, and the spectacular beauty of the terrace fields here makes them one of the amazing landscapes in Vietnam. Some of the most well-known fields are in Sapa, Mu Cang Chai, and Hoang Su Phi. The journey to get to see the incredible scenery can be quite demanding due to the lack of convenient means of transport and professional services, but the achievement would be rewarding, and your effort is promised to pay off.
