If you’re finding a green oasis in Ho Chi Minh City to retreat from the noise and the vehicles, Le Thi Rieng Park, one of the biggest parks in Ho Chi Minh City, (plus the lovely Nhan Van bookstore within it) is the place for you!

Where is Le Thi Rieng Park?

875 Cach Mang Thang Tam Street, Ward 15, District 10
Hours: 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM

It is about 4 kilometers far from Ben Thanh Market. Le Thi Rieng Park also has another name, Tho Trang Park (which means “White Rabbit” park).

80% of the park is covered by lush greenery, which results in a refreshing atmosphere. Le Thi Rieng Park covers a spacious area of 8 ha. While many other parks usually have even and flat terrain, Le Thi Rieng Park is different when it has many small rolling hills.

It is interesting to know that the area of Le Thi Rieng Park today used to be a graveyard during the war. Before 1975, it was known as Do Thanh Cemetery for unnamed soldiers. That is also the reason why there are quite a few scary rumors around this city park.

Together we can discover Saigon on a motorbike, a fantastic city!

On special occasions like Tet holiday, Christmas, Halloween or Mid-fall festival, Le Thi Rieng Park is usually decorated beautifully, which is extremely suitable to take some nice photos.

Besides, there is a big pond inside Le Thi Rieng Park and a lot of food and beverage stalls around the pond. This is also where local couples meet and have a chat. It is great that you can sit near the pond to enjoy the fresh atmosphere while enjoying some street food.

Summary of Le Thi Rieng Park in Ho Chi Minh City

Although there are many parks in Ho Chi Minh city, Le Thi Rieng is still the one that attracts a lot of people every day. In such a vibrant city like Ho Chi Minh, Le Thi Rieng Park is an awesome place for you and your family to relax and enjoy wonderful moments together.
