With a height of 40 meters and a width of 100 meters, Pongour Waterfall is believed to be one of the wildest and most magnificent Vietnam waterfalls in the Western Highlands located 50 kilometers away from Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province. Legend has it that an ethnic K'ho woman led the tribe named Kanai with four big rhinos that supported her. When she passed away, her resting place became a majestic waterfall of which her hair became the white and cooling water, and those rhinos' horns became the giant green rocks.

The ecosystem around the waterfall has a rich biodiversity that supports many kinds of plants and forests. Coming to admire the beauty of Pongour waterfall, crossing the path leading to it surrounded by blooming sunflower from November to March is a recommended must-try experience in Vietnam!

Situated in Cao Bang Province and lying on the border of Vietnam and China, Ban Gioc Waterfall is one of the four most significant cross-border waterfalls in the world. The main fall is 100 meters wide, 70 meters high, and 60 meters in depth. This Vietnam waterfall is a beautiful gift from nature belonging to Dak Lak Province, 25 kilometers from Buon Ma Thuot City. “Dray Nur” in the local language means Wife or Female waterfall and associates with the legendary love story “Romeo and Juliet”. One legend said that there was a loving couple, but because of the conflicts between the two tribes, they decided to die together in the river be with each other forever. This angered God at the selfishness of the villagers, and He caused an incredible storm creating a waterfall separating the 2 tribes.

After passing the narrow path of 150 meters, you can be thrilled at the majesty of the fall in the middle of the wild nature. Tac Tinh Waterfall is 130 meters high starting from the Hoang Lien Son range and 40 meters wide, ending with the 100 meters square lake. Located in Tam Duong District, Lai Chau Province, Tac Tinh is also called Love Waterfall by locals since “Tinh” means Love. From a panoramic view, the fall looks like soft white silk stuck in the giant mountain. Behind the beauty, there is a sad love story often told by the Dao ethnic people. A forbidden love between a man and a woman made them face many difficulties. Finally, she ended up suicidal by jumping down the waterfall to protect her eternal love. Love waterfall was then named by locals to praise love and loyalty.

Bac Waterfall, Lao Cai Province

Situated in San Sa Ho Commune, Sapa, Lao Cai Province, Bac Waterfall is 200 meters in height and a water source of Muong Hoa stream. An incredible view can be seen from Ham Rong Mountain where you can contemplate the white water rushing down just like silver. That is why the locals call the fall as Silver Waterfall since "bac" means silver. Only 12 kilometers away from Sa Pa Town, you can get there in about 30 minutes by car or motorbike. It would be a miss not to know the fantastic tale behind one of the most popular waterfalls in Vietnam. “Yang Bay” in the language of Raglai ethnic minority means “waterfall of heaven”. It has been told that the God of Heaven did not agree with the love between a fairy and a human guy and made the human into a rock. Then the fairy decided to leave heaven and protect the rock forever. This angered the God of Heaven, and He made all rivers and lakes run out of the water. Since then a mother frog tried to call and cry for water and rain until she was out of breath and died. Her offspring waited for her for so long and died after her. Upon learning this, the God of Heaven regretted his decision and cried, and his tears became a waterfall. That is the origin of the name “Yang Bay”.

"May" or Cloud waterfall has a height of 100 meters is located in Thach Lam Commune, Thach Thanh District, Thanh Hoa Province. Locals also call this wonder “nine steps of love” regarding its gorgeous nine levels of water that they believe are the tracks of nine ferries after returning to Heaven.
