Day Trips to Binh Duong Province

After doing some Day Adventure and Night Adventure in Ho Chi Minh City, you might be interested in some day trips to the nearby areas. In that case, Binh Duong is worth consideration. It is a developing province with numerous destinations for amusement or learning about Vietnamese culture.

How to Get to Binh Duong Province

Binh Duong Province is 30 kilometers away from Ho Chi Minh City, and there are many different means of transport that you can choose to get there. Note that in July-September, Binh Duong Province usually receives lots of rain which can last for several days, so this period might not be ideal for day trips.

By bus

The buses that would take you from Ho Chi Minh City straight to Binh Duong Province include no. 61-1, 61-3, 61-4, 61-6, 61-7, 61-8. Their starting stops are in different places in the city, and their price range is VND 4,000 - 25,000 depending on how far you would need to travel.

The bus no. 61-6 is the most convenient one for international tourists since it goes through several stops in District 1 and its final stop is the Dai Nam Theme Park, one of the top destinations in this province. The price ticket for the whole journey is VND 25,000/person.

By train

From Sai Gon Station to Di An - Binh Duong Station, the train would take about 30 minutes. The ticket price is VND 30,000/person, and it can be changed depending on the location of your seat and customer’s age. You would need your passport to reserve and receive your ticket.

By motorbike

What to Do for Day Trips to Binh Duong Province

Dai Nam Theme Park

Location: 1765A Highway 13, Hiep An Ward, Thu Dau Mot City
Opening hours:
- Monday - Friday: 7 AM - 5PM
- Saturday - Sunday: 7 AM - 5:30 PM
Entrance fee: Price on the weekends and special occasions is higher than weekdays
- VND 50,000-100,000 for children below 1-meter high
- VND 100,000-200,000 for children above 1-meter height and adult
(not including entrance to The Beach and The Zoo)

Dai Nam is a 700-hectare-square theme park including rides, zoo, artificial beach, and many other constructions which depict Vietnamese history, culture, religion.

Exploring Dai Nam Theme Park would take a whole day

Thuy Chau Park

Location: 55 DT743C, Binh Thang Ward, Di An Town
Opening hours: Only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 8 AM to 4 PM
Entrance fee:
- Children below 1,2-meter high and people above 65 years old: Free
- Children from 1,2 to 1,4-meter high: VND 40,000
- Adult: VND 80,000

I went here on a bike. It was very tiring and the roads were filled with trucks and containers. Will not recommend if you're not used to riding on a motorbike. There were a lot of police too. If I were to go here again, renting a car would be better
