Da Nang’s unfailingly ranked as one of the best places to live in Vietnam thanks to the high quality of life, friendly locals, especially towards expats and travelers, and the myriad of things that’ll have you on the edge of your seat from dusk till dawn. So if you’re thinking that Da Nang is boring, you probably haven’t seen our list below of top things to do in Da Nang at night.

Top Things to Do in Da Nang at Night

Bridge Hopping: Dragon Bridge, Han River Bridge, and Love Bridge

Da Nang is known as the city of unique bridges, so the first things to do in Da Nang at night that you should check off is visiting the three most famous bridges around town:

Dragon Bridge

Google Maps location

Dragon Bridge has become Da Nang’s symbol in recent years. It was designed to look like a dragon, and true to its name, every weekend at 9 PM, the head of the dragon will “breath” fire and water out for around 30 minutes. The show always attracts hundreds of spectator so come early for a good spot.

Tip: don’t stand near the head, you’ll get wet!

This bridge was Vietnam’s first swing bridge so it holds significant values in the local’s heart. Each weekend from 11 PM - 12 AM, the middle part of the bridge will swing from one side to the other, creating an interesting sight that you should observe once.

Love Bridge

Inspired by the Pont des Arts Bridge in France, this bridge allows love birds to hang padlocks on its railings and take romantic pictures by the heart-shaped red lanterns. It’s only a 5-minute walk from Dragon Bridge so spare some time here to see young local’s dating scene.

The bridges are within walking distance from each other so you can easily hop from one to the next. We suggest visiting the Dragon Bridge first to see the show, then have a romantic photo-shoot at the Love Bridge. Next, discover the city’s coffee culture by dropping in any of the dozens of cafes on Tran Hung Dao Street, and at 11:30 PM, end the night by seeing the iconic Han River Bridge.

Look for five-star hotels and resorts in Da Nang:

When you’re out of things to do in Da Nang at night, shopping is the classic option. Especially in such a versatile city like Da Nang, you can easily find souvenirs that your friends and family will love. Some recommendations are:

Son Tra Night Market (6 PM - midnight): With its favorable location - near the Dragon Bridge - this market attracts both locals and visitors alike. There are dozens of souvenir stalls for you to choose from and endless street foods that’ll make your stomach growl.

Helio Night Market (5 PM - 10.30 PM): This a newer, hipper market that caters to the young population of the city. Besides the usual food and souvenir stalls, there’s also an area for beer, grill, and carnival games.
